Sunshine on cakes

During my usual Blog surfing I came across just about the sweetest (quite literally) blog I've seen in a while.

When you see people with amazing imagination and creative skills being used in a productive way makes me all warm inside...

The blog I saw was called 'Wonderfully Delicious' http://christyscutiecakes.blogspot.com/ All the beautifully made cakes for special occasions made me all warm and fuzzy inside.Hopefully they do the same for all of you.

Sunshine in the sink

Have you ever just been going about your day and then the simplest of smells overtakes your mind and your taken back to simpler times and transported back to childhood memories...

While I was washing the dishes the smell of Original Fairy washing up liquid took me back to when I was younger.

We all remember using mums washing up liquid and refilling you bubble blowing pot....always putting soo much liquid to make the bubbles bigger but it always went gloopy instead and youd be covered in green washing up liquid.

Just the smell of Fairy liquid made me smile and was the little ray of sunshine I needed to brighten up my day and make washing the dishes that little bit more bearable.

Sunshine in a forgotten drawer

That little ray of sunshine can be found absolutely anywhere, even when looking for something that was lost may years ago...

It's been maybe 5 or 6 years since I changed rooms from the big room to the small study. In doing so my chest of drawers were relocated to my parents room and lost under mounds of clothes.


Well back to the point...while I was looking for my art set I had 5years ago from my art classes I came across so much more...

The forgotten drawer was full of all the things from my past,  my 100meters swim certificate I got when I was 8, souvenirs dating back to 2001 and past GCSE practise papers....

But the most precious find though was my photo album which, had pictures of my 2nd birthday with my cousin and holiday photos abroad.

Finding memories  truly put a smile on your face and fill you with a warmth that can't be described with simple words but can only be felt.

When you need a pick me up and a little ray of sunshine to brighten up your day maybe you can go through an old drawer and see what sunshine you might find.

Sunshine in the garden

Today the sun came out and I am currently blogging from the garden, sure theres abit of wind everyonce in while, and for some reason I seem to be attracting ants because I can feel them crawling around onmy legs but I've still got a smile on my face

The simple sunshine through the clouds and into your garden can actually put a smileon your face...having the little rays of sunshine warm up your skin can to a certain extent warm your soul and make life that little bit more bearable....

hopefullythe weather is nice a cheerful wherever you are in the world-and if not hopefully you can find a little ray of sunshine to brighten up your day

Sunshine on the sofa

Sometimes the thing that can make you laugh til there's tears streaming down your face is not planned, but things that just happen...


While watching telly on the sofa I was eating popcorn...and those of you who don't know I'm rather a clutz and managed to miss my mouth on numerous occassions. Eventually I get up to pour myself a drink and Dad is there telling me to turn around and he bursts into laughter, the kind that can be heard throughout the whole neighbourhood. I'm like "what?!" and trying to stretch around to see what's on my back....


Turns out I have toffee popcorn stuck to my bum!!


Mum looks at me and bursts out laughing "you're crapping out popcorn!!"

Sunshine on the telly

Firstly I would like to say that one thing that puts a smile on my face is someone who has enjoyed my blog...to wake up and discover I have a follower...Thank you

Okay back to regular blogging-Today I found a ray of sunshine while watching telly. Sometimes it makes you smile, it can be as simple as a funny advert or a cute video clip...

Today I saw the new McDonalds advert with the Happy meal box....watching it I could just imagine how incredible it must have been to find a giant happy meal, as you watch the advert you can see the pure joy on the childrens' faces.

Hopefully this ad will put a smile on yours too

Sunshine in the streets of London

Sometimes when the weather is dreary and everything is going wrong....these days happen to me very often. I promised I wouldn't be late to the gym -so off I went.

Waiting at the bus stop only to find that when I get on the bus I dont have enough credit to get on........So I get off the bus and oh joy - it starts to rain.

Walking in the rain I made a discovery - my running trainers aren't water proof....

As you can probably tell my day isn't really going too well.....but walking in the rain with the water swishing between my toes and running down my back, there was a little ray of sunshine...I saw a woman walking in the rain with a smile on her face, such a contagious smile I couldn't help but have my spirit lifted

sometimes sunshine comes from the streets of London even when it all seems to be going wrong

Sunshine in unlikely places

While rummaging through my cupboards this morning, I came across my Twilight knee high socks and I couldn't help but smile....they were a christmas present sent from one of my penpals...

Someone I've never met before was nice enough to send me a present last christmas. The kindness of others is truly a ray of sunshine and sometimes you find reminders of that in the strangest of places

Today the weather has been rather dreadful the day started off with a spot of rain and dull grey clouds but as always I wont let it keep me down...there is always something to cheer up my day. This time it was the cutest video of my cousin's cat. It truly put a smile on my face and hope it does the same for you

I'm sure we've all noticed how hard it's become to watch the news without feeling disheartened by all the wrong in the world and watching all the sadness that has become everyday. Hopefully this blog will bring a little ray of sunshine to brighten up your darkest day....Whether it be a silly joke that's made me giggle or a picture that puts a smile on my face I hope that I can give you a little bit of sunshine to put in your pocket for a rainy day
